Inspired by a hand-crafted fountain created by artist Saundra Warren, this garden in Alameda was designed and installed using Bay-Friendly gardening techniques. Removing the resource-intensive lawn and replacing it with usable hardscape and drought-tolerant plantings was a start. We continued by using organic soil amendments, an efficient drip irrigation system, and energy-efficient LED lighting. The overall result is a sustainable garden which provides the homeowners with a new outdoor space.
